A lot of things that are worth doing are very scary. Being scared of something is normal and not a sign of weakness. Do the things that move you forward, and if they are scary, do them scared. The more we do these good scary things, the easier they become.

staying close w people long distance really is about the mundane stuff. i get texts like “made quesadillas” “spilled mop water all over the floor :(” “lady on the bus has not one not two but three tiny dogs in her purse” andits like wow. i love you more than words can express

“reject modernity embrace tradition” isn’t even a dogwhistle it’s literally just saying regressive ideology directly. how does anyone not get this

hey full offense but the ‘use the right pronouns even if the person is horrible!’ statements arent made to coddle horrible ppl, its saying ‘dont view correct pronouns as a fucking privilege that can be taken away once people decide you’ve fucked up enough’, misgendering someone on purpose is transphobic no matter what bc it equates transphobia as a ‘punishment’ for bad people, pronouns are a part of baseline human respect, its that simple
No one misgenders cis people when they’re horrible. If you do it to trans people it shows that you fundamentally think of trans people’s gender in a different way than cis people’s.
:/ They misgender cis people if they aren’t white. Black women get called “mannish” and “men” all the time, if not just swapped to being called animals.
Like I get what with this is saying, but “no one misgenders cis people when they’re horrible” is a very white-focused perspective.
Ultimately, don’t fucking misgender people as a ‘punishment’.
